Hand Washing: Visual Steps

A printable twelve-step hand-washing guide that frees up a child’s precious human RAM for more important things.

He knows the steps. He does not need to spend his precious human RAM holding all of them in his head.

Kabbo already knows how to wash his hands. But knowing a routine and keeping the whole sequence loaded in your mind are different jobs. Putting the steps beside the sink gives him somewhere outside his head to keep them.

He can look at the poster, find the next movement, and carry on with less reminding and less mental clutter. That leaves more room for him to focus on the important business of being the mischievous kid he is.

How we use it

We keep the poster beside the sink, where the routine happens. Kabbo can glance at it and move through the steps with adult support when he needs it. The poster carries the sequence so he does not have to.

You are welcome to download it, print it, and place it near the sink your child uses.
